Having spent nearly 20 years living in New York City as a fashion editor turned fashion publicist, Kym escaped the rat race nearly four years ago and fled to Tucson where she studied massage at The Desert Institute of Healing Arts. She worked at the famous spa destination Canyon Ranch in Tucson as a massage therapist for two years specializing in Swedish, Ashiatsu deep barefoot massage and also a variety of body treatments and signature rituals. She was also Spa Director at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, a golf and tennis club and resort also in Tucson. There she mastered La Stone hot stone therapy and trained others in the art.
